MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Mrs. L. C. Stadtmueller, 78, were held Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 6, at St. Matthew Lutheran church. The Rev. Anton Kirkegaard conducted the services. Interment was in Prairie Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Stadtmueller died at John McDonald hospital Sunday evening, Sept. 3, where she had been a patient for eight days. She was born near Monticello March 25, 1889, the daughter of John and Mina Saathoff Brockens. She received her education in the Jones county schools.

On Feb. 22, 1906, she married Louie C. Stadtmueller and the couple farmed in Castle Grove township. Since 1954 Mrs. Studtmueller and her daughter had made their home in Monticello. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, her parents and two sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Loretta of Monticello.

Pallbearers were Frederick Hanken, James Stadtmueller, Max Dirks, Harvey Fechtman, Sam Schuetz and Elmer Jacobs.
