Funeral services for Eugene Smith, 51, will be held at Goettsch Funeral home Friday at 2 p.m.

Mr. Smith died Tuesday of a heart attack at the Yeoman factory.

Rev. Gideon I. Krein will conduct the services with interment in the Oakwood cemetery.

He was born Sept. 4, 1907, in Monticello, the son of Charles S. and Anna Woods Smith. He married Norma Espy April 28, 1926. They spent their life in Monticello. He was a member of the Presbyterian church.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Anna Smith of Manchester; his wife, Norma; four daughters, Mrs. Fred (Betty) Ehlts, Monticello, Mrs. Kenneth (Virginia) Tucker, Hopkinton, Mrs. Herman (Leandra) Hessing, Lisbon, Pat at home; one son, Stewart Smith, Walker; two brothers, William of Olin, John of Monticello; three sisters, Mrs. Will D. Dirks, Monticello, Sister mary Vienney O.S.F., Remsen, Texas, Mrs. Ethel Jones, Hopkinton; and 13 grandchildren.

One son, two grandchildren and his father preceded Mr. Smith in death.
