MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Mrs. Paul A. Jacobs, 86, were held Saturday afternoon, Sept. 9, at St. John Lutheran church. The Rev. C. C. Gutekunst officiated and interment was in St. John cemetery.

Mrs. Jacobs died at John McDonald hospital early Wednesday morning Sept. 6, following a brief illness. She was born near Monticello Sept. 23, 1880, the daughter of Gerke and Ann Von Hazel Bohlken. She received her education in the rural schools.

On June 8, 1900, she married Paul A. Jacobs, and the couple farmed near Monticello until 1947, when they moved to Monticello. She was a member of St. John Lutheran church.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1953, her parents, a sister and two brothers.

Survivors include five children: Henry of Monticello; Mrs. John (Pauline) Brown of Wailuka, Maui, Hawaii; Dr. Raymond G. of Enid, Okla.; William C. of Bellflower, Calif., Mrs. W. T. (Ruth) Hunt, U.S. Naval station in Spain; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were H. G. Bohlken, George Bohlken, Carl Bohlken, Adolph Bohlken, Vernon Null and Reece Moats.
