OLIN - Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Woodward, 85, were held May 27 at Hayden Funeral home with the Rev. Robert Jones officiating. Burial was in Olin cemetery.

Mrs. Woodward died May 25 at Anamosa. She was born Oct. 1, 1880 near Center Jct., the daughter of Charles A. and Mary Countryman Sherman.

She married James Monroe and they were the parents of four children: Grace, now Mrs. Dwight Friedley, Cedar Falls; Dorothy, now Mrs. Gordon Freeman, Olin; Harlan, now deceased, and Lee, Cedar Rapids.

She was married April 2, 1930 to Charles Woodward. He died Dec. 14, 1950.

Also surviving are three brothers, Earl and Charles Sherman, Jr. of Viola and Paul Sherman of Los Angeles, Calif., and seven grandchildren.
