WYOMING - Funeral services for Louis Carl Buchholtz, 89, were held Wednesday, March 23, at the Zion American Lutheran church in Wyoming with Rev. Robert R. Ahrens officiating. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Mr. Buchholtz died March 21 at his home in Wyoming. He was born Jan. 23, 1877, at Charlotte, the son of Fredrick and Frederike Buchholtz. Later the family moved to a farm west of Wyoming which became the family farm.

On Feb. 27, 1907, he was married to Catherine Westphal, and they were the parents of one son, Walter. They retired from the farm in January, 1945.

Mr. Buchholtz was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and three brothers.

Surviving are his wife; his son, Walter of Ames; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Raymond Holtz, Ronald Holtz, Fred Buchholtz, Raymond Huggans, Carl Wurst and Julius Westphal.
