WYOMING - Funeral services for Henry John Westphal, 91, were held Dec. 6 at Zion American Lutheran church with the Rev. Robert Ahrens officiating. Interment was in Wyoming cemetery.

Mr. Westphal died Dec. 3 in Anamosa. He was born Feb. 24, 1874 at Smithtown in Jackson county, the son of Carl and Sophia Reese Westphal. He was married to Dorothea Kuhlman on Feb. 23, 1900. They farmed in this vicinity until moving to Wyoming in 1945. Mrs. Westphal preceded her husband in death.

Surviving are three children, Mrs. L. M. Crowe of Peoria, Ill., Mrs. Velma Norquis of Indianapolis, Ind. and Herbert of Onslow; 8 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Arthur Manwiller, Ames.
