OXFORD JCT. - Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Zak, 83, of Marion, who died Aug. 10 at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, were held Friday at 2 p.m. at Hayden funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Moore of Marion officiating. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery.

Mrs. Zak was born May 23, 1883 in Jackson county, the daughter of John and Anna Beck Fritz. She spent her early life in Jackson county.

She was married to Henry Zak at Oxford Jct. in February 1904. They lived here until 1913 and then moved to Marion.

She was a member of the Marion chapter 183 of OES and a 50-year member of the ZCBJ lodge of Oxford Jct.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Max Albaugh and Mrs. Bernard Struck of Marion and Mrs. Lester Kellams of Maquoketa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and one brother.
