OXFORD JCT. - Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Mae Davies, 88, resident of Oxford Jct. for many years. She died Nov. 4 at a nursing home in Maquoketa after a long illness. She was buried at a Maquoketa cemetery.

Mrs. Davies was born Margaret Mae Everhart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Miller Everhart, at Wheatland. She was married to Dr. James Davies, who was a doctor in Oxford Jct. for many years. He died 25 years ago. They had no children. Both Mr. and Mrs. Davies were active members of the Eastern Star while living in Oxford Jct.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Grace Leffingwell of Orlando, Fla.
