WYOMING - Harold A. Deischer, 77, former resident of rural Monticello and for the past five years of Wyoming, died Saturday, May 22, at John McDonald hospital in Monticello following an illness of several weeks.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning from Goettsch Funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Norris officiating. Burial was made at Oakwood cemetery.

Born July 5, 1887 at Monticello, he was the son of John and Nellie Noble Deischer. He attended the Monticello schools and Iowa State university. He was married to Olive H. Cramer of Monticello Feb. 25, 1914. They farmed west of Monticello in Castle Grove township until moving to Wyoming five years ago.

He was a member of the Wyoming Presbyterian church, and was awarded a 50 year membership at the Burns Lodge A.F. & A.M. the past year in Monticello. He was preceded in death by his wife on Oct. 6, 1964, his parents, one brother and one sister.

Survivors include one son Allen Deischer of Wyoming; a daughter, Mrs. John (Margaret) Eichhorn of Wyoming; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Howie of Monticello, Mrs. Harlan Harper of Vinton and Mrs. Howard Jackson of Columbus, Mo.

Pallbearers were Delmar King, Richard Eichhorn, Kenneth Howie, Howard Jamison, Alex Inglis and Fred Kromminga.
