CENTER JCT. - Funeral services were held for Mrs. Grace Mead, 70, at Hayden's funeral home, Wyoming, Dec. 1. The Rev. Wayne Norris of Wyoming officiated. Burial was in North Madison cemetery, Center Jct.

Mrs. Mead died Nov. 30 at Brandt Nursing home in Wyoming.

Grace Marie Flannigan Mead was born Sept. 19, 1894, at Rosedale, Kan., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Flannigan. She was married to Robert Mead of Center Jct. July 19, 1919. They later moved to Kansas City, where she was employed as a secretary at Lees Garment Makers for a number of years.

In 1951 they returned to Center Jct. and she was employed as secretary to the Farmers Mutual Coop for several years. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary of Wyoming and also belonged to the Methodist church. Mrs. Mead suffered heart trouble the past year and had been hospitalized since early summer, moving to the nursing home three months ago.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a half-sister, Mrs. Don (Helen) Hardman of Kansas City; and a half brother, John Flannigan, Luverne, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister.
