MONTICELLO - Louis A. Ehrisman, 71, died at John McDonald hospital Monday afternoon, May 31, from a cardiac failure.

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 o'clock from Goettsch Funeral home with the Rev. John Benj. Wild officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood cemetery.

Louis A. Ehrisman was born Jan. 18, 1894 at Monticello, the son of Adolph and Marie Zaugg Ehrisman. As a boy he moved with his family to South Dakota, where he received his education and returned to Iowa in 1923. He was married to Hattie Lubben of Monticello Dec. 15, 1923. They farmed in the Monticello area until 1947 when they moved to Monticello. He was a member of First United Presbyterian church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Ruth of Bettendorf; one son, James of Anamosa; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Connolly of Inglewood, Calif., Mrs. Lawrence Carlson of Iowa City, Mrs. Howard W. Skelley of Monticello; six brothers, Ed of Yucca Valley, Calif., Walter, Herman and Adolph of Wagner, S.D., Charles of Hunington Park, Calif., Alfred of Inglewood, Calif.

Pallbearers will include Herman Welter, Irving Hintz, Tobias Hinrichs, Carl Ricklefs, Kenneth Schwendigner and Fred Butschi.
