Miss Ida Ray, 83, died early Thursday morning in her home at 406 South Garnavillo street.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 4 p.m.

Miss Ray's only survivors are nieces and nephews. One nephew, Charles Arthur, lives in Anamosa.

Funeral service for Miss Ida Ray, 83, who died last Thursday, was held Friday afternoon in Smykil's Home for funerals, with Rev. D. A. Loferski, pastor of St. Mark's Episcopal church officiated.

Interment was Saturday morning in Greenwood cemetery, Platteville, Wisc.

Miss Ida Ray, daughter of Henry and Martha Ray, was born May 6, 1863, in Platteville, Wisc. As a young girl she came to Anamosa to live with her sister, Mrs. William Symons, and later with the Gillen family. She spent many years in Chicago and later traveled, spending several years in Florida, New Jersey and California. She returned to Anamosa in 1923.

Miss Ray was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal church, in which she was a diligent worker.

She had no immediate survivors, only nieces and nephews, among them Mrs. Arthur, Anamosa.

Relatives here for the funeral were a niece, Mrs. William Schieber, and daughter, Marcia, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Dale Willey, Platteville, Wisc.
