OLIN - Louis H. Guhl, 64, died suddenly at his home April 24. Funeral services were held April 27 at St. John's Lutheran church with Mr. Richard Herrig, student at Wartburg Theological seminary at Dubuque, in charge. Interment was in the Olin cemetery.

Mr. Guhl was born on a farm near Olin May 1, 1901, the eldest son of Charles and Bertha Kreger Guhl. On March 3, 1930, he was married to Anna D. Schmalfeldt at Maquoketa. They farmed for 27 years around Olin, until their semi-retirement to an acreage in Olin.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Kenneth of Olin, Lyle of Davenport and John at home; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Andrew Thomsen, Mrs. Louie Hartwig and Mrs. Fred Hefflefinger, all of Olin.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward, and his parents.
