Mrs. Fred Gray, 78, Anamosa, died Saturday, Oct. 17, at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, following an illness of two months.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 2 p.m., at the McNamara Funeral home, Anamosa. Rev. J. A. McMahon will conduct the service. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Anamosa.

Pallbearers include Howard Soper, Albert Oltmanns, Harry Remington, Maynard Siebels, Bill Boyles and Carl Wehling.

Honorary pallbearers are Henry Siebels, Bill Siebels, Herman Folkerts, Earl Snyder, Harley Snyder and Jim Kraus.

She was born June 7, 1886, daughter of Isadore Mere and Philimine Sampica Mere, New York. She was married to Fred Gray and couple had lived on farms in the Anamosa area since their marriage.

Survivors include her husband, Fred; a son, Harold; three sisters, Mrs. Martha L. Dailey and Mrs. Vina Allen, Delhart, Texas; and Mrs. Elmer Lathrop, Marion.
