MARTELLE - F. S. Myers, 72, who lived most of his life in Martelle, died early Monday in a Cedar Rapids hospital. He had lived in Cedar Rapids two years.

Funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon at the Smykil Home for Funerals in Anamosa. Rev. Edgar E. Walker, jr., of the Methodist church was the officiating pastor. Burial was made at Norwich cemetery, Martelle.

Franklin S. Myers was born Dec. 8, 1873. On Dec. 21, 1892 he was married to Clara M. Ellison.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. I. S. Hasek, Sioux City, and Mrs. Leo McSwiggan, Cedar Rapids; a son, David Myers, Cedar Rapids; a sister, Sarah Norton, Olin, three granddaughters and three grandsons.
