CENTRAL CITY - Funeral service for George Ira Miller, 80, who died Friday in a Cedar Rapids hospital following a long illness, was held Monday at a Central City funeral home. Burial was made in Mount Clark cemetery, Central City.

He was born Nov. 28, 1865 east of Monticello, and had farmed near Central City most of his life. His wife died eight years ago.

Surviving are three daughters, Irene Thompson and Elaine Fuller, Cedar Rapids, and Inez Guilford, Anamosa; two sons, Alfred, Belle Plaine, and L. J. Miller, Cedar Rapids. A son, George Perry Miller preceded him in death.
