Funeral service for Cecil C. Ellison, 50, Anamosa and former Waterloo resident, was held Saturday, May 25 at 4 p.m. at the Methodist church, Anamosa. Loder funeral home had charge of arrangements. Burial was made in the Norwich cemetery, Martelle. Mr. Ellison died Wednesday, May 22, at 8 p.m. of a heart ailment, at the Allen Memorial hospital, Waterloo, where he had been a patient since May 11.

He was formerly employed by the John Deere tractor company and had lived in Waterloo for 14 years before moving to Anamosa in 1942. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a former member of the Becker-Chapman post of the American Legion.

Born March 5, 1896 at Martelle, the son of John and Daisy Ellison. He married Edith Larson, March 5, 1918, Anamosa. She died in 1932.

He was married again Sept. 28, 1935 to Mildred Hoke at Waterloo.

Surviving besides his wife are two daughters by the first marriage, Mrs. Robert Cusher and Mrs. Dwight Eillison, both of Waterloo; one son by the second marriage, Cecil Clarence, Jr., Anamosa; his mother, Anamosa, and four grandchildren.
