Funeral service was held Tuesday for Miss DeEtte Barbara Crawford, 54, who died Saturday in the home of her sister, Mrs. Beverly Anderson, Anamosa, where she was moved following her release from Mercy hospital a short time ago.

Funeral service was conducted by Smykil Home for Funerals, Rev. Barney C. Crockett, pastor of the First Congregational church, Anamosa, officiated.

Miss Crawford was born Jan. 24, 1893, in Wyoming. She was the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Crawford. Her parents moved to Anamosa when she was about four years old, and she lived the rest of her life in this community.

She attended the Anamosa school. In October, 1909, she joined the Congregational church. Miss Crawford was a member of the Majel club, Rebekah lodge and Pythian sisters for many years and was an active member until the time of her death.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Florence and both of her parents. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Crow and Mrs. Beverly Anderson, both of Anamosa; and two brothers, Fred C. and John E. Crawford, both of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are seven nephews, four nieces, and a grand nephew and a grand niece.

Casket bearers were: Guy Byerly, George M. Brainard, Dan W. Meredith, Harley Snyder, Dwight Pulver and R. A. Russell, all of Anamosa.

Interment was made in the Riverside cemetery, Anamosa.
