OXFORD JCT. - Funeral services for Mrs. Henry (Elma) Otte, Sr., who died late Saturday after a long illness, were held Tuesday, at St. Mark's Lutheran church with the Rev. Harold Murkve officiating. Private services were held at the Hayden Funeral home. Burial was in the Lowden cemetery.

Pallbearers were all nephews, Harold Burmeister, Cedar Rapids; Earl Gade, Tipton; Ray Schaefer, Anamosa; Ralph Gade, Lowden; Hubert Gade, Wheatland and Dale Burmeister of Clarence.

Elma Gade Otte was born May 11, 1897 in Cedar County, the daughter of Henry Gade and Matilda Lietz. She was married to Henry Otte at Tipton on Jan. 7, 1914. They had observed their Golden Wedding anniversary this year. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran church.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Carl of Oxford Jct. and Henry, Jr. and Fred of Lowden; one daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Emma) Hodgden of Oxford Jct.; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest Wigger of Olin and Mrs. Charles Burmeister of Clarence, and two brothers, Walter Gade of Tipton and Louie Gade of Lowden.
