Funeral service for Alfred L. Larson, 64, was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Smykil Home for Funerals. Rev. Edgar E. Walker, Jr., of the Methodist church was in charge. Burial was made at Wilcox cemetery near Viola.

Alfred Lee Larson, retired farmer, died suddenly at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at his home in Marion.

Born Aug. 30, 1881, at Onslow, he was married Nov. 25, 1906, at Anamosa to Maude E. Beam. His second marriage was June 6, 1936, to Bonnie Keeling. In December, 1943, Mr. and Mrs. Larson moved to town from a farm six miles east of Marion where they had resided for 14 years. He was a member of the Methodist church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Miles A. Larson, and two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Williamson and Mrs. Ethel Burns, all of Independence, Mo.; a stepson, Armond Keeling, Kansas City, Kan.; six grandchildren; two brothers, Earl O. and Glenn A. Larson, Anamosa; and three sisters, Mrs. Laura Gunnison, Marion, and Miss Jennie Larson and Mrs. Hattie Holman, Anamosa.
