OXFORD JUNCTION - Funeral service for Joseph Zeller, 85, was held Friday afternoon in the Hayden funeral home. Rev. Wesley J. Buck conducted the service.
Hymns were sung by Mrs. Frank Kolarik and Mrs. Louis Ingwersen, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. G. J. Bees.
Casket bearers were Edward, Robert, Roy J. and Victor Kleinec, Frank Kolarik and Lyman Thompson. Body was taken to Davenport for cremation.
Joseph Zeller was a life long resident of Oxford Junction. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Zeller, he was born here Dec. 18, 1861. He never married. He had farmed during his earlier life but had been retired for many years. He was an invalid for the past 10 years and made his home with Mrs. John Kleineck, where he died at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 23. He only survivors are cousins and distant relatives.
