8 January 1948 - The Anamosa Journal

WYOMING - James Nolan, 78, living four miles east of here, died Wednesday at 11 a.m., after a short illness.

Funeral service is set for Saturday at 9:30 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic church, Baldwin. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the Baldwin church.

Mr. Nolan died at the home of his son, Lawrence. He is also survived by another son, Edward, and a married daughter, Mrs. Henry Decker, Davenport. His wife died about 15 years ago.

Funeral service will be in charge of the McNamara funeral home, Anamosa.

WYOMING - Funeral service of James J. Nolan, who died Jan. 7, were held on Saturday morning in Holy Trinity church, Baldwin. Rev. Ronald Axen celebrated the requiem mass and casket bearers were Dr. F. L. Griffin, Harry Kedley, Elmer Eganhouse, Joseph Edwards, John Kedley and Joseph Agnitsch. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Nolan was born Feb. 11, 1870, in the Monmouth community where he always lived. He was married to Mary Ellen Kedley on May 12, 1908.

He is survived by three children, Mrs. Veronica Decker, Davenport; Lawrence Nolan, Wyoming, and Edward, Crystal Lake, Ill., and three grandchildren Patricia, James and Robert Nolan.
