Marion L. Norton, 24, died unexpectedly of an attack of heart disease while visiting friends in Anamosa Sunday afternoon. Funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon at the Smykil Home for Funerals.

Rev. Edgar E. Walker, jr., of the Methodist church was the officiating pastor. Burial was made in Riverside cemetery. Pallbearers were: Don Crowley, Roy Eastwood, John Theilen, Joe Miller, jr., Westley Kendall and Milton Smith.

Mrs. Clarence Jessen and Miss Barbara Stoughton sang, "Lead Kindly Light," and, "Abide With Me," accompanied by Mrs. O. A. Rife.

Marion, son of Mrs. Harriet N. Veach, was born at Anamosa Feb. 4, 1922. He was reared in the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Norton, and spent his entire life in this community.

For the last four and one-half years he had been employed by the Iowa Manufacturing Co. at Cedar Rapids.

He is survived by his mother, his grandparents, an aunt, Mrs. Nellie N. Reuter, Rockford, Ill., and an uncle Dwaine Norton, Milwaukee, Wis.

Marion was to have been married this month to Miss Arlene Binley, also of Anamosa.
