Lee G. Nickels, 34, died Tuesday at the Oakdale Sanitarium, Iowa City, where he had been taken three weeks ago. He had been ill for about a month. Funeral service was held this Thursday afternoon at the Smykil Home for Funerals. Officiating pastor was Rev. Walter D. Wigger of the Baptist church.

Burial was made at Riverside cemetery. Pallbearers were: John Steenhoek, Neil Norton, Clarence Barker, Francis Drumbarger, Merle Eilers and Harold McDaniel.

Born Sept. 23, 1911, at Amber, he had spent most of his life in Anamosa where he was employed for many years at the Anamosa Poultry and Egg Co. He was not married.

Surviving are his mother of Anamosa; three sisters, Kathleen O'Dell, Cascade; Laura Munson and Ruth Nickels, Sacramento, Calif., and two brothers, Laurence and Richard, Anamosa.
