WYOMING - Funeral service for Peter Johannsen, 92, who died at his home on east Webster street following a few days' illness of pneumonia was held Sunday afternoon from the Lutheran church with the Rev. H. Graening in charge. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Mr. Johannsen was born March 24, 1853, in Germany. He married Katherine Tuechsen in 1875 and moved to Wyoming with his wife and family in 1896. He worked at the carpenter trade for a few years, then bought a farm, which his son-in-law, August Luckstead, now owns. He retired from active work in 1915, and moved to Wyoming, where he and his wife observed their 55th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Johannsen died in 1930.

He is survived by four children: Peter, jr., Anamosa; Mrs. Anna Bruske, Wyoming; Mrs. Katie Luckstead, Monticello, and Mrs. Lizzie Martensen, Amber; 23 grandchildren 39 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Daughter, Mrs. Maggie Paulsen, Alexandria, Minn., died in 1943.
