OXFORD JUNCTION - Last rites for Eleanor Benhart, 18-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Benhart, were held here Friday afternoon in the Methodist church. The Rev. F. J. Mittler, Clarence, conducted the service. Hymns, "Under His Wings," "Beyond the Sunset", and "Someday," were sung by Mrs. Fred Lasack, Mrs. Fred Sacora and Miss Earline Huston, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. G. J. Bees. Floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. Lucille Young, Lost Nation, Darlene Burian, Olga Burda, Ruth Nowachek and Helen Harms. Pallbearers were Sanford McClure, Richard Beranek, Arnold Zaruba, Paul Lasack, Dacil Cubbage, jr., and Dean Cubbage. Interment was in the Mayflower cemetery.

Eleanor Benhart was born Nov. 22, 1925, in Oxford Junction. She lived here most of her life except for a few years when the family moved to Wheatland. She was graduated from the Oxford Junction high school in 1944. She died in the Mercy hospital Anamosa, Tuesday evening, Oct. 30, after a short illness.

She is survived by her parents, one brother, Wayne, a sister, Betty, her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Joe Benhart, and her maternal grandfather, L. H. Becker, all of Oxford Junction.

Relatives attending the funeral services from out-of-town were Mrs. Mary Motyk and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Pence and Dave Given, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Benhart and daughter, Patricia, Davenport; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Guyer and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Holtz, Maquoketa; Mr. and Mrs. Leivin Andre and daughter, Toronto; Mr. and Mrs. Charley Wiedenhoff and family and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Hamdorf, Massillon; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Becker, Lost Nation, Mr. and Mrs. Vic Kleineck and Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Becker, Wyoming; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Becker, Mrs. Howard Becker, Mrs. Annie Dolezal and Erma Bramer, Monmouth.
