Funeral service for Ernest Peet, 61, who died last Friday at a Mason City hospital, was held Monday at the Loder Funeral home in Anamosa. Rev. J. K. Delahooke of the Methodist church officiated. Burial was at Riverside cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Elmer Tebbe, Peter Pazour, J. C. Porter, Arthur Lake, John Hinz and Cloyd Biggart.

Ernest Peet, son of James G. and Clara Peet, was born in Anamosa, Sept. 15, 1883. He grew to manhood here, and in 1903 was united in marriage to Miss Tessie Plamadore, Anamosa. One son was born to this union, who survives.

He was baptized in the Methodist church in Anamosa when a young man, and spent his entire life in Anamosa, with the except of a the last few years.

Mrs. Peet died Feb. 16, 1936, and Mr. Peet made his home in Belmond, Ia., where he has since resided. A few years ago he was united in marriage to Grace Ahl, Belmond, who survives.

Besides his wife and son, James, he is survived by his father, James G. Peet, Waubeek, and a brother, Truman Peet, Maquoketa.
