HALE - Funeral service for Warren G. Clay, who died at his home in Hale, Tuesday night, Aug. 29, following a lingering illness, was held at the United Brethren church in Olin, Friday afternoon.

Rev. W. T. Boston conducted the service, assisted by Rev. William Strait. Earl Phillips sang two hymns, accompanied by Mrs. Gerald Kruse.

Burial was at Pleasant Hill cemetery in Hale township. Casket bearers were Frank Phillips, Ernest Hartwig, Ernest Behnke, Gerald Kruse, Leonard Hartwig and William Finkenbinder.

Warren George Clay, son of George and Mary Wolfe Clay, was born on a farm near Hale, May 3, 1890. Most of his life was spent in this vicinity. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Clay, Hale; three brothers, Joe and John, Olin; and August, Center Point; three sisters: Eva Clay, Hale; Mrs. Harley Robertson, Lisbon; and Mrs. Hubert Shankland, Olin.
