Funeral service for Mrs. John Chopper, 61, was held Sunday afternoon at the Beam and Miller Chapel. Rev. J. K. Delahooke, pastor of the Methodist church officiated. Burial was made in Riverside cemetery.

Mrs. Chopper died Friday, Aug. 25, at her home in Anamosa, following a paralytic stroke last Tuesday. She had been in failing health for some time.

She was born, Grace Mae Plamadore, daughter of Thomas and Lila Plamadore, in Linn county, Iowa, July 21, 1883, and was raised in Linn county. In 1901 she was married to John Chopper, Anamosa. For several years Mr. and Mrs. Chopper lived in Minnesota and South Dakota, returning to Anamosa about 15 years ago, where they have since resided.

Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Nettie Pearl Cox, Anamosa; one sister, Mrs. Nell O'Brien, Waterloo; a half-brother, Fred Plamadore, Anamosa; and five grandchidlren.
