Ward Patterson, employed on the William Reese farm near Anamosa, died there early this Thursday morning.
No funeral arrangements have been made, pending word from relatives in California. Body is at the Beam and Miller funeral home.

Funeral service for Fordham Patterson, 73, who died last Thursday morning at the William Reese home near Martelle was held Tuesday at the Beam and Miller funeral chapel. Rev. Homer E. Dalrymple conducted the service. Burial was at Riverside cemetery.
He was born May 1, 1871, at Wyoming, Ia., the son of Thomas Elliott and Emma Chadwick Patterson. He was raised in Anamosa, and attended the schools here.
He later made his home at Nashville, Tenn., Atlanta, Ga., Washington, D.C., Jacksonville, Fla. and Norfolk, Va.
Surviving is one sister, Mrs. L. G. Burch, Magnet, Nebr., and a niece, Mrs. Irene Larue, Los Angeles, Calif. His parents and one sister preceded him in death.
