December 17, 1962 - The Anamosa Journal

OXFORD JUNCTION - Funeral services for Mrs. Merlyn Kramer, 24, Iowa City, were held at the Sacred Heart church, Oxford Junction, on Monday, Dec. 17.

Mrs. Kramer was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Von Muenster of near Oxford Junction. She died in an auto crash Friday night, Dec. 14, near Hills. Mrs. Grover Guffey, Iowa City, also died in the crash.

Survivors of Mrs. Kramer include her husband, three children, three brothers and three sisters.

December 24, 1962 - The Anamosa Journal

OXFORD JUNCTION--Funeral services were held Monday morning, Dec. 17, at 10, for Mrs. Merlyn Kramer, 24, at Sacred Heart Catholic church, Oxford Junction. Burial was in the cemetery at Massillon.

Mrs. Kramer died of injuries received in an automobile accident Friday evening, Dec. 14, near Hills, south of Iowa City, where couple was making their home.

Pallbearers included Ronnie Stang, Wayne Dettman, Don Hunwardsen, Roger Stuttman, Tom Huffman and Robert Marony.

She was born Shirley Von Munster, May 18, 1938, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Von Muenster, Oxford Junction. She was a graduate of the Clarence high school. She was married to Merlyn Kramer, Feb. 6, 1960. Couple lived for a time near Manchester.

Survivors include her husband; three small children; her parents; three brothers, Robert Von Munster, Will Von Munster and Leo Von Munster, near Clarence; three sisters, Mrs. James Benhart, Mrs. Herbert Rehmke and Mrs. Harold Rehmke, all of Oxford Junction.
