Funeral rites for Mrs. Lena Morey, 60, Anamosa, were conducted last Wednesday afternoon at the Smykil Funeral home with Rev. E. A. Schlaman, pastor of the Anamosa Baptist church, officiating. Mrs. Morey died last Sunday. She had been living with Miss Nellie V. Morey, Jones county superintendent of schools.

Mrs. Morey, formerly Lena Carmichael, Monticello, was married on March 17, 1905, to Henry Morey, Anamosa. Couple lived on a farm north of Anamosa until 1920 when they moved to town. Mr. Morey died June 24, 1937.

Surviving are two sisters, Florence and Margaret, Monticello; four brothers, Andrew, Monticello; John, Lawndale, Calif.; William, Englewood, Calif.; Jacob, Union, N. J.; and a sister-in-law, Miss Nellie V. Morey, Anamosa.

Following men were casket bearers: Burton Brown, Leslie Dunn, Arthur Remley, Maurice Fay, H. J. Mayberry and G. H. Witham.

Burial was held at Riverside cemetery, Anamosa.
