Funeral service for Mrs. Charles Sutherland, 75, Anamosa, who died suddenly at her home last Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. will be held Saturday afternoon with Rev. Homer E. Dalrymple officiating. Service will be held at 1 p.m. at the home and at the old Scotch Grove Presbyterian church immediately thereafter.

Mrs. Sutherland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cameron, Ashley, Ill., was born Feb. 4, 1866. She came to Iowa after her marriage on Jan. 29, 1885, and settled with her husband on a Scotch Grove farm. Couple moved to Anamosa 16 years ago, where they observed their 56th wedding anniversary last month.

Mrs. Sutherland is survived by her 82-year-old husband, who is a Civil War veteran; a sister, Mrs. Kate Walraven, Freemont, Nebr.; a brother, Robert Cameron, Long Pine, Nebr.; one daughter, Mrs. E. L. Rummell, Anamosa; two sons, Will, Sturgis, Mich., and Perry, Mechanicsville; three grandsons and one granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Galen Mirick and Nettie Sutherland, and another daughter, who died in infancy.

Burial will take place in the Scotch Grove cemetery. Beam & Miller, Anamosa, are in charge of arrangements.
