OLIN--Mrs. Louise Petersen, 85, died Thursday, April 9, following a brief illness, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Miles, Phoenix, Ariz.

Prayer service was held Monday afternoon at the home of Marvin Fisher, Olin.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, April 13, at the Hayden Funeral home, Olin. Rev. Roger Hoppenworth, pastor of St. John American Lutheran church, Olin, conducted the service. Burial was in the Olin cemetery.

Pallbearers included Peter Petersen, Chris Petersen, Carl Lorenzen, Louis Schladetzky, Lorenz Ahrendsen and Art Ahrendsen.

Mrs. Galen Alexander was organist.

She was born Louise Ahrendsen, May 16, 1878, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorenz Ahrendsen, Schleswit-Holstein, Germany. She came to the United States at the age of six. Family lived first at Stanwood, and later at Onslow. She was married to Lorenz Petersen on Dec. 7, 1908, at Onslow. Couple lived on farms near Wyoming and Olin.

Survivors include four children, Christine, Mrs. Marvin Fisher, Olin; John L. Petersen, Cedar Rapids; Louis M. Petersen, Garden Grove, Calif.; Mary, Mrs. Frederick Miles, Phoenix, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1946; her parents; three brothers; three sisters and one grandson.
