Funeral service for Mae Rhene Powers, five and one-half month old daughter of Sergt. and Mrs. George Powers, was held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Smykil home for funerals. Father J. A. McMahon conducted the service. Burial was at Wilcox cemetery.

Baby died Saturday at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a month's illness. Sergeant Powers is stationed in England. Mrs. Powers is at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Powers, Cedar Rapids.
