Services for Mrs. J. E. Tyler, who died at her home in Anamosa at 10 a.m. Thursday will be held Saturday at 10:30 .m. at the St. Patrick's Catholic church in Anamosa. Rev. J. A. McMahon will officiate at the requiem high mass. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at the Smykil funeral home, where friends may call.
She was born in Cedar Rapids, Dec. 10, 1879, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Weldon. She was a graduate of the Catholic school there.
On November 16,1892, she married Joseph E. Tyler of Cedar Rapids. They have lived in Anamosa for the last 40 years. On Nov. 16, 1943, the couple celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Tyler was a member of the Catholic church, the Order of Eastern Star and the American Legion auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband and one son, Charles, Anamosa. A daughter, Bernice, preceded her in death at the age of eight years.
