OLIN--Service was held for Albert Hartwig, 79, from the Campbell Funeral home at 1:45 p.m. Friday and at St. John's Lutheran church at 2 p.m. Rev. A. E. Sommers officiated. Interment was made in the Olin cemetery.

Albert Hartwig, son of August and Louisa Hartwig, was born Sept. 20, 1864, in the province of Pomerania in Germany. He was baptized shortly after his birth. When he reached school age he was sent to the parochial school of the large church to which the family belonged. Mr. Hartwig was confirmed at the age of 14. In 1885, when he was 20 years of age, he came with his parents to America, settling in Ohio.

In 1898 he was married to Miss Anna Kreger. Children are: Otto, William, Ernest, Mrs. Dale French, Mrs. Ernest Rasmussen, Herbert, Paul, and Walter. Two brothers survive, Karl and August of Olin. Three sisters preceded him in death. In addition there are 21 grandchildren and other relatives.

After the death of his wife in 1920 Mr. Hartwig moved to town and spent the last years of his life on the acreage northwest of town.
