CENTER JUNCTION--Funeral service for Mary Ellen McNeilly, 87, was held at 2 p.m. at her home in the country and at 2:30 p.m. in Presbyterian church at Center Junction.

Rev. F. G. Tyrrell was in charge of the service. He used the same text as was used at the funeral of Mrs. McNeilly's twin sister, Martha Woodworth, nine years ago.

Hymns were sung by Dorothy Dreibelbis, accompanied by Mrs. T. E. Stanton. Mrs. Ben Heiken, Mrs. Frank Harrington, Mrs. Will Leech, Mrs. Frank Heimbaugh and Mrs. Peter Prahm took care of the flowers.

Pallbearers were nephews of Mrs. McNeilly: Frank Livingstone, Cedar Rapids; John Livingstone, Iowa City; and Francis Woodworth, Earl Mallicoat, James Woodworth and Frank Himebaugh. Burial was made in the North Madison Pioneer cemetery.

Mary McNeilly, daughter of John and Margaret Livingstone, who came from Scotland in 1855, was born August 16, 1856 on a farm west of Center Junction, and died June 2 in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elmer Burr, near Walker. She was the last one in a family of nine children.

Her girlhood and young womanhood was spent on the farm where she was born. She became a member of the Four Horn church in that community, later transferring her membership to the Presbyterian church in Center Junction.

In March, 1890, she was married to Matthew John McNeilly, who preceded her in death 10 years ago.

Into this came a son, James R., Maquoketa, one daughter, Marguerite Burr, Walker and one step-daughter, Mabel Hudson, Muscatine, all of whom survive. She also leaves eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Mrs. McNeilly has spent all her life in the community. Her main interest was centered in her home and her church. She was very active for her years and kept abreast of the times.
