OXFORD JUNCTION--Word has been received here of the death of Joe Shimerda, 84, who died Wednesday, May 24, at his home in Mitchell, S.D. He was born here, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Antone Shimerda, and lived here for many years. He was united in marriage to Kate Krolich, Oxford Junction, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by three sons: Joe and Frank, South Dakota, and Ed, California; two brothers, Henry, Oxford Junction, and Charles, Sioux City, and three sisters, Mrs. Frances McMahon, Wyoming; Mrs. Mary Henak, Cedar Falls, and Mrs. Lizzie Zinn, Arlington Heights, Ill.

Burial was Saturday afternoon at Howard, S.D.
