Funeral service for Mrs. Olive Waggoner Smith, 68, who died at Van Meter, S. Dak., Feb. 12, was held at the Smykil funeral home Wednesday afternoon. Rev. J. K. Delahooke of the Methodist church was the officiating minister.

Burial was in the Antioch cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was born July 23, 1875, near Rockford, Ill. She came to Iowa with her parents at the age of three years, settling near Marion, where they lived until 1895. She married John Waggoner in 1893, and they moved to Anamosa in 1895. There were three children, Mrs. Ivy Meredith, Anamosa; Mrs. Verna Woodrow, Independence, Kan., and Mrs. Leone Bloodgood, Huron, S. Dak.

Mr. Waggoner died Feb. 1, 1902. She married Will Smith in August 1903. They moved to Van Meter, S. Dak., where she lived until she died. Mr. Smith died in August, 1942.

Surviving are her three daughters, six grandchildren and five sisters, Mrs. Alma Flaherty, Mrs. Blanche Banadom, Mrs. Harry Day, Anamosa; Mrs. Ina Martiletti, Lansing, Mich., Mrs. Myrtle Allee, Minneapolis, Minn. A sister and brother preceded her in death.
