OXFORD JUNCTION--Mrs. Charles Welty, 64, long time resident of Oxford Junction died Friday at Jane Lamb hospital, Clinton, after a short illness.

Until a year ago Mr. and Mrs. Welty farmed west of Oxford Junction, they then went to California and returned three weeks ago, visiting in the home of their daughter, Mrs. Harold Overholt, Clinton.

Funeral service was held Monday morning from Snell funeral home, Clinton, 10 a.m. Dr. L. A. Gustafson officiated. Burial was in Rosehill cemetery, Toronto.

Mrs. Welty was born Edith Weymer, Jan.8, 1879, at Calamus, daughter of Daniel and Sarah Weymer.

She married Charles Welty, Toronto, and together they farmed near Oxford Junction. She is survived by husband, three sons, Darrell Welty, Omaha, Neb. Adrian Welty, Oxford Junction; and Howard Welty, Chicago; three daughters, Mrs. Harold Overholt, Clinton; Miss Lenora Welty, Richmond, Calif.; and Mrs. Edith Pinkerton, Los Angeles, Calif.
