Howard Georgie, 92, of Anamosa, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020 at St Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
A private graveside service will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include; sons, Robert(Darlene) Georgie, of Anamosa, and Larry (Margaret) Georgie, of Diamond Springs, California, daughter, Linda( Mike)Langton, of Redmond, Oregon. Grandchildren: Justin Ellis, Candace Bruce, Brandon Georgie, Monica Miner, Stacy Townsend, and Rachel Bickford, along with nine great grandchildren.

Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene, parents, great grandchild, Riley, and two brothers and a sister.

Howard was born June 6, 1928 in Denver, Colorado to parents, Edward and Lillian( Gordon) Georgie. He married Charlene Harrison on October 15, 1950 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He worked as a machinist and a mechanic, with Southern Pacific Railroad, and in his family shop. He enjoyed spending time with his family on the farm, fixing fences, and all the work that needed to be done. He made several trips to Oregon, and spent time at the mobile butcher shop with his grandson, Justin. Family dogs were a passion. Howard made a point to attend all weddings, including out of state, in the family. Howard will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
