MARTELLE--Funeral service was held at the Methodist church at Martelle at 2 p.m. Wednesday for Mrs. Francis Clark, 53, who died Sunday at her home south west of Martelle. Burial was in Linn Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Clark was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Arbingast and was born near Lisbon July 28, 1889.

She is survived by her husband; four sons, Oliver, Martelle, Homer and Harley, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Don Bunce, Anamosa, Mrs. Mary Schmidt, Monticello, Mrs. Dora Sealls, Olin and Agnes, at home; her mother, Mrs. Mattie Arbingast, Lisbon; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Johnson, Lisbon, and Mrs. Frank Whitman, Mechanicsville; and six grandchildren.

Rev. William J. Scarbrough, Methodist minister from Mount Vernon, officiated at the funeral service. Casket bearers were Lowell Kohl, Gerald Darsey, Glenn Strothers, Elmer E. James, Henry Weiderman and Frank Calvert.
