Dropped Dead in the Court Room. Maquoketa, May,12--R. W. Henry dropped dead at 2:15 this afternoon in the jury room of the Jones county court house. He_ bad been feeling unwell since early morning and on returning after dinner he complained of suffering. Attorney Johnson suggested that they ask for an adjournment of the court until Mr. Henry had recovered, but Mr. Henry was anxious to go on with the case and said that he would be all right in half an hour. He went into the jury room with Mr. Kearney and Mr. Gregory, but had hardly reached the room when he became suddenly worse and was caught by Mr. Kearney as he was falling. He expired before a physician could be summoned without speaking a word. Heart disease is believed to have been the cause of his death.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1839 and is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery.
