Peter Murray, a resident of Ryan, whose home was formerly in the vicinity of Monticello, died last Sunday evening at an advanced age. His funeral was held at the Catholic church of Ryan, last Tuesday morning. Mr. Murray was about 90 years old. He was born in Ireland, and after coming to this country located a few miles east of Monticello, which was his home for about 40 years. Eight years ago last spring he purchased a farm close to Ryan. Mr. Murray had many friends and was highly respected by acquaintances. The following families living in the vicinity were related to the deceased: Fluckiger, Wilson, O’Neil, Magee and Lynch. They were all represented at the funeral. The deceased is survived by a widow and six children.
