Last rites for Mrs. Arthur Foote, 82, former Anamosan, who died Wednesday, Feb. 18, at her home in Perry, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Beam and Miller chapel with Rev. J. K. Delahooke officiating.
Service also was held Thursday evening at a Perry funeral home with Rev. Freeland in charge.
Burial was in Antioch cemetery and casketbearers were Frank Cooper, Frank Merrill, Dave McDaniel and Glenn Thompson.
Born in Sharon, Wis., in 1859, Mrs. Foote was Jennie Isabelle Labuwi, daughter of Mathias and Sarah E. Labuwi. She was married Aug. 22, 1874, to Charles Freeman Zimmer at Sharon. They came to Iowa in 1879 settling in Anamosa when the main part of the small village was then in the portion of town now known as Dublin.
Mr. Zimmer preceded her in death as did three of their seven children. She lived in Anamosa until 1927 when she moved to Cedar Rapids and on Sept. 23, 1929, she was married to Arthur Foote of Perry and has made her home in Perry since that time.
She is survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs. Thomas J. Ozburn, Clinton; Mrs. Perry Price, Boone; Mrs. Floyd Briggs, Davenport and Charles W. Zimmer, by 23 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
