Frank Williams, a cook for Jeffreys railroad camp, was struck while trying to board an eastbound freight out of Hale. He died a few hours after the accident. He had quit the camp work and was leaving for parts unknown. On his person was found some money and a watch. He was about 50 years of age. An inquest was held and the body cared for until the coroner could make arrangements for his burial, which will be at Hale.
