ONSLOW--H. J. Smith, 67, died at the home of his nephew, Frank Smith, Spooner, Wis., Wednesday of last week. Mr. Smith, carpenter, had gone there to spend the winter.

Mr. Smith was married in 1911 to Miss Florence Maple, who died in 1921. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Topping, Denver, Colo., three grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Smith, Monmouth; Mrs. Minnie Lewis, Wyoming; and Mrs. Arthur McMaster, Maquoketa.

Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Frank Schroeder in the Presbyterian church Monday afternoon. Pallbearers were Dr. R. J. Kleineck, J. R. Kennedy, Howard Willison, George Sears, Carroll Lightfoot and George Paulsen. Mrs. Wilson Briggs and Mrs. Howard Willison sang "Face To Face" and "Rock of Ages." Burial was made in the South Mineral cemetery.
