The funeral of Mr. Joseph French, whose illness we mentioned several weeks ago, was held at the Presbyterian Church on the morning of July 5th, the pastor, Rev. A. P. Cooper, conducting the services. Mr. French had been a ruling elder in the church for several years, and by his childlike faith and unswerving honesty of purpose had won the respect and esteem of all who knew him. He had been ill for many months and death came to him as a welcome release.
