HALE--Funeral service for Vince Pegarick, who died last Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Anna Fritz, Oxford Junction, was held at the Pegarick home two miles east of Hale Sunday afternoon. Rev. W. P. Nicholas, Wyoming, officiated.

Burial was in Mayflower cemetery, Oxford Junction. Casketbearers were: Frank Nowachek, James Nowachek, Frank Benhart, Vince Burda, Otto Benhart and Antone Vacek.

Vince Pegarick was born Aug. 10, 1861. On Oct. 18, 1884, he married Fanny Kalous. Nine children were born to them. Four children preceded him in death, Mrs. A. H. Kostecka, Mrs. Tillie Koranda and Albert and Vince.

Mrs. Pegarick and children who survive are: George, Wheatland; Elmer and Louis, who farm the home place near Hale; Mrs. Martin Fritz, Oxford Junction; Mrs. L. J. Triltsch, Anamosa and Mrs. John Soukup, Cedar Rapids, and 12 grandchildren. One brother, Henry Pegarick, Lost Nation, also survives.
